John Taylor junior relocates the business to The Cornmarket and was joined by trainee auctioneer George Bland the business eventually being called John Taylor Son & Bland.

1888

John Taylor purchases a parcel of land on Eastgate in Louth and sets about building a purpose-built dedicated auction room which he named The Mart.

1859

A young farmer from Claythorpe establishes an auctioneering and land agency practice in Louth with an office on Gospelgate.
